A Commercial EPC is now required upon construction, sale or lease for non-dwellings, covering everything from small retail units to offices, industrial units and large scale commercial premises There are a few exemptions, we are happy to discuss whether you require a Commercial EPC.
A Commercial EPC provides an energy rating for a building which is based on the performance potential of that building. In addition to construction and insulation, services such as lighting, heating and ventilation, and the control of these services, is used to produce an A-G rating, this rating could then be used by potential buyers or tenants to make comparisons between properties. The commercial EPC is produced along with a recommendation report which will suggest measures to improve the energy performance of the building.
To produce a Commercial EPC, the Energy Assessor must be suitably qualified and insured. Some companies may use unqualified 'data collectors' to carry out the survey. We only use fully qualified Commercial Energy Assessors to carry out Commercial Energy Surveys.
Our Commercial Assessors cover Cornwall and Devon and will also consider Somerset for larger premises. Please contact us for a quote.
